Christmas eve sewing

On Christmas Eve mom helped us sew new pillow cases and I even got to use the sewing machine! I really like sewing by myself. I had a great Christmas! I got a lot of lego sets including one with a horse that I named Popcorn. 

Hiking...or not

The other day we went for a family hike. About half way through I gave up on walking. I crawled for a while and after much protesting decided walking back to the car would be better than living in the woods. 

Breakfast with Santa

This weekend we had Breakfast with Santa. I was not impressed.

Sledding

We finally have snow! We went sledding which was fun for a while, but I got tired of walking up the hill and just laid on Dad for a while. 

Christmas!

I am so excited for Christmas! I loved helping to put up the tree and hang all the ornaments. 

Games

One of my favorite things to do is play games.  When Sawyer is at school Mom and I play a lot of games!

Dry day!

It is finally not raining! It made for a delightful walk home after dropping Sawyer off at school.

Winding yarn

Mom and I had to wind up a bunch of yarn the other day to get started on Christmas knitting.  I love helping her wind yarn.

Snuggle bug

I often get all bundled up and ride on Mom's back to pick Sawyer up from school. On this day it was pretty wet and snowy.

Hiking

We have had some brisk, but sunny weather. Perfect for layering our hand knits and going for a hike. We went to hike a trail and at the end there was a glacier! We spent some time throwing rocks into the lake and breaking the ice. It was fun to hear all the sounds the ice made.

Writing

This week at story time I wrote my name on my drawing all by myself!

Mornings with Dad

Saturday mornings are always so fun because Dad gets to stay home and play with us! The other morning we were playing all sorts of games with Dad, practicing our math skills and learning how to spell. It was a lot of fun.

Party time!

Yesterday was the grand opening of the Cordova Center and it was a LOT of fun! I helped Mom get ready, but she said my hair isn't long enough to curl yet. And then today I got to go to a carnival at Sawyer's school where I got my face painted like a ninja turtle! Such fun.

Halloween

For Halloween I was a parrot and I had a wonderful time trick-or-treating! It was pretty cool that you could knock on doors and get CANDY! I also got to go for a ride on the fire truck and get a new book from the library. 

Anchorage time!

I got to FLY on a PLANE and visit my Grandparents in Anchorage.  It was a ton of fun.  I got to go to the zoo, play new games, and go to a Halloween carnival.  I hope we get to go on a plane again soon, that was very fun. 

New costumes

Aunt Allie sent us new police outfits! Sawyer and I are busy cleaning up this town. 

Games

While Sawyer is at school Mom and I play a lot of games.  We have been playing memory a lot and working up to more and more matches in the game. I love finding matches!

Helping Mom

Mom has been working on some sewing projects lately, and I have been helping! After I help her iron all of her fabric, I like to make sure mine is nice and ironed as well.

Sleepy

Lately I have been riding on mom's back to pick up Sawyer from school…she will notice I have fallen asleep half way there. Being carried is just so relaxing.

When Mom's away...

The family will play! Mom spent the weekend up at the high school sewing, so we had lots of Dad time! He took us to the park and we got to play all sorts of games.  It was a beautiful fall weekend.

I just have the best big brother. He is always willing to give me a hand and carry me around.

Birthday party!

This weekend we celebrated my THIRD birthday! It was a lot of fun.  We had a party at a park with my friend Wesley, who turned four, and Dad's friend Bjorn (who was visiting) who turned 32. Quite the party! It was great fun to have Bjorn and Katie here for the weekend and I was sad to see them go.

Alaska State Fair

Mom took us to see the grandparents and to the fair this past weekend and it was so fun. I got to go on a few rides (see the pictures of that on Sawyer's blog, despite my face, I really loved them), get my face painted, see racing pigs, and eat cotton candy. I even got to go to the petting zoo where I became quite good friends with a goat. Great fun!

Princess Lucy

I was really sad to not be able to go to preschool with Sawyer yesterday. I was even more jealous of the crown that he made at school so when we got home from picking him up, Mom helped me make my own.

Superhero

Mom made Sawyer and I capes and the other day we wore them while out and about. I love wearing it while I am on the swings at the park!

Beach day!

Yesterday we went with some friends to the beach and it was a lot of fun! We saw a jelly fish and right after this picture was taken I got bold and went swimming in the ocean. I just jumped in and went for it!  I was happy to get into dry clothes after that.

Napping

I rarely nap anymore, but some days I fall asleep on the couch during quiet time. I always claim I didn't sleep, even after being shown proof like this picture. 

Daredevil

We spent the day yesterday 4-wheeling, and in my typcial fashion I could not get enough SPEED! I love riding. I can't wait to drive the little 4-wheeler by myself.....maybe next time!

New sweater

Mom finished a new sweater for me and I wore it while we were out berry picking today. 

Hiking attire

The best way to go hiking is with your Xtratuf boots, a fancy dress, and a handspun sweater. 

Salmon run

This weekend was Salmon Jam and I ran the 1-mile fun run. Well, really Dad carried me on his shoulders while I yelled at him to run. 

Scooter style

I am loving my new scooter! I do sometimes decide that running would be quicker so Mom has to carry my scooter. The excitement of the day wore me out so much I couldn't even finish my brownie. 

Rainy hike

Yesterday we took the dogs out and went on a short little hike. It was a lot of fun! I was not impressed with the snacks Dad had packed though...
